Beamsville Yellow Jackets win Sr AA OBA!
This past weekend Beamsville Yellow Jackets traveled to Wyoming, Ontario for the AA Provincial championships. Beamsville lost game 1 to Wyoming Cattle Barons (2024 AA champs) in front of a large crowd supporting the hosts.
On Saturday, the Jackets beat Woodslee Orioles (2024 A champs) 2-1 in an all-time showcase of Sr baseball. Game 3, the Jackets beat the 3X AA Champions in the Kincardine Cardinals, then broke out offensively in a mercy victory over the New Lowell Knights.
On Sunday afternoon, the Jackets got another chance at the host Cattle Barons in front of another large crowd and beer garden but came out on top, winning their 2nd OBA Championship in 3 years. The Jackets are only the second team in NDBA history to win AA at the Sr level.
